metis-edf software package provides Family of Multilevel Partitioning Algorithms, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install metis-edf
metis-edf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the metis-edf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep metis-edf *
You will get with metis-edf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
